On the eve of Amy Winehouse and Blake Civil-Fielder’s first wedding anniversary, both of their mothers go head to head and speak out to The Daily Mail about the drugs, the music, the media and the couple’s downfall.

Georgette Civil and Janis Winehouse speak out about the hell their families have endured due to the drug-fuelled union between the singer and her junkie husband/hanger-on.

Janis, 53, claimed that things haven’t gotten any better her daughter and she’s still on drugs. (DUH!) “She did not say she was off drugs, but she said she was cutting down.”

Amy, who is the spitting image of her mum, is said to be devastated that she has missed visits with her beloved “Blake, incarcerated”. But Mama Winehouse shows the imprisoned druggie no love, “Obviously, it’s hard to be sympathetic. Amy knows there’s no love lost between Blake and me, and, let’s be honest, no mother really wants to refer to her son-in-law as “my son-in-law in jail” do they?”

“When I told my father that Amy had got married, he said: “Oh well, her next album will be about the divorce.” And he’s in his 80s.” Janis confides. Judging by recent events, that may be true. Recent reports state that Blake has found himself a new girlfriend and plans to runaway with her with a load of Amy’s cash. Earlier this week Amy and Pete Doherty made a YouTube video, in which Amy begged her husband not to divorce her following pictures of her cuddling another man were published.

In the other corner of the ring, Georgette Civil, the mother of “Blake, incarcerated”, claims that Amy is to blame for Blake’s downfall. Both she and Blake’s father, Giles say their son needs to “Get rid of Amy” in order to get his life back on track.

Georgette reveals, “Every week, I see countless photographs of my daughter-in-law’s increasingly bad behavior splashed across newspapers and magazines. Half-dressed and surrounded by hangers-on. Amy looks every bit the drug addict, with her thin frame, grubby fingernails and cut on her arms.” It seems to have slipped the mind Mama Civil that it was HER son that was Amy’s original hanger-on.

The troubled couple have hardly seen each other since Blake was taken into custody and his mother claims it’s for the best.

“Together, they are destroying one another. Apart, we feel they stood a chance of getting clean.”
