Christina Aguilera vs. Britney Spears at the VMA’s
I say put this on PPV. I think it would be an awesome brawl, probably better than most of the crappy boxing matches as of late. Two divas, a cage, lots of mud and a couple of midgets (hey, it would make it way cooler with midgets, so lay off). Anyways, this all got started because Christina was just confirmed by the VMA’s and apparently, the rumor is going around that MTV tried to keep Britney’s signing a secret until Christina signed. Hmmmm….
“I’m very excited,” said Christina about the news, which was announced at a press conference at Paramount Studios in L.A. Refering to her 8-month-old son Max Liron, Xtina said, “This will be his first time watching me perform on television, but only for a little while because he’s not really allowed to watch television yet. I’ll make an exception for the VMAs.”

Britney to open for VMA’s on September 7th
Spears will open the 2008 Video Music Awards, confirms MTV
“MTV has long played an important role in my career,” Britney says in a statement. “How can I not be there to kick off their 25th VMA’s? I’m excited to open the entire show, to say hi to my fans and to be nominated.”
Although Brit Brit is kicking off this year’s VMAs, there will not be a performance. So what will it be? A surprise that should not to be missed!
Britney is nominated this year for Best Female Video, Best Pop Video and Video of the Year for “Piece of Me.”
The VMAs will air this Sunday, September 7th @ 9PM ET/PT on MTV.

Britney Is Back!!!
I am sooooo happy to see that Britney Spears is back on the right track, and doing some good as she arrived at the Generation Rescue event. Also there was Jim Carrey and his GF Jenny McCarthy who alo had there pictures taken with the Pop Princess.
I sooooooo cannot wait until her next album comes out!! Apparently it is being called her revenge album with a song titled Already Bad which apparently is about her relationship with Justin Timberlake: “I know you thought you were the first, but I had already quenched my thirst, I was already bad”, and another called ATM which accuses her mother of only being after her money: “Hey Mama, I know it’s my cash you seek…You know they treat me like an ATM, but y’all know that I’m too good for ‘em.”
I wonder If there will be a song about K-Fed. Now that would be a good song!

Spears Gets Overnight Visit With Her Sons
Britney Spears spent Saturday night with her boys at her Los Angeles home.
It was the singer’s first overnight visit with Sean Preston, 2 1/2, and Jayden James, 1 1/2, since she was hospitalized at L.A.’s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in January.
The boys were dropped off Saturday and picked up around 10 a.m. Sunday, according to a source.
“Britney was very upset after the kids left,” the source tells Usmagazine.com. “She now does not know when she will get them next for an overnight. She complains it could be next week, or it could be three months.”
At a hearing last Tuesday, Spears, 26, was granted overnight privileges.
Asked if she were pleased with the judge’s ruling, she smiled and told Us, “yes.”
Meanwhile, Spears and ex Kevin Federline ” who was spotted partying in Miami over the weekend ” are gearing up for a custody trial, set to begin August 25.
Federline’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan told E! that a mediation session last Thursday didn’t result in a custody agreement.
Federline is seeking sole physical and legal custody of sons Preston, 2 1/2, and Jayden, 1 1/2 and wants Spears to continue her current visitation terms.
Said Kaplan, “If the existing arrangement was acceptable to both parties … we wouldn’t have to go to trial. But that didn’t happen.”

Britney Is Welcome To This Years VMA’s
Britney Spears is welcome back at this year’s Video Music Awards.
“Everyone deserves a second or third chance, right?” Van Toffler, president of MTV Networks Music Group, told the Associated Press Friday. When asked if he was just joking, Toffler said, “Sorta.”
“Who knows?” he said.
A scantily clad Spears famously attempted a career comeback at the MTV Video Music Awards in Las Vegas in 2007.
Viewers weren’t the only ones who were left disappointed by her lackluster performance of “Gimme More.”
A source told Us that Spears was spotted “crying badly [backstage].”
This year’s VMAs will air live from Paramount Pictures Studios in Los Angeles on September 7.
“I’m not sure how we top Britney opening the show,” Toffler told the AP. “We are working on it every minute of every day.”

Britney Is Back In Kentwood For Jamie Lynn
Britney Spears touched down in her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana, on Wednesday, to be with her sister, Jamie Lynn, when she gives birth, according to People.
Britney was photographed catching a flight at LAX early in the day on Wednesday, where she boarded a plane bound for Louisiana.
Also joining Brit on the plane was her father, Jamie, brother Bryan and her assistant, Brett, People reported.
The family’s arrival comes in anticipation of 17-year-old Jamie Lynn giving birth to her first child, which is due this summer.

A Journalist Went Undercover As A Photog To Get Brit Details!
An award winning journalist by the name of Ian Halperin spent 18 months undercover as a photographer to get close to Britney Spears. Now, the tells Life & Style that she tried twice to kill herself: “The suicide attempts are true. I know all the details about both of them.”
In his forthcoming book, Halperin exposes her two suicide attempts and much more.
What’s more, a Brit family insider says that Halperin’s claims are true, saying that Britney threatened suicide many times during the time Halperin was with her — from November 2006 until last month — especially after the birth of her second son, Jayden James in September 2006.
Halperin also claims he saw Britney using drug use. “I partied with her and was able to really monitor what type of stuff she was using. It’s very concerning.”
And even more dangerous than the drugs, Halperin says, is “how sleazy and destructive” her handlers — from her former, self-proclaimed manager Sam Lutfi to her mother and father — are toward her.

Jamie Given Permission To Sell Brit’s Home
Jamie Spears, the father of Britney Spears, was given permission to sell the pop singer’s home in Studio City, a Los Angeles court commissioner ruled Tuesday.
During a hearing in a downtown LA courtroom earlier today, Commissioner Reva Goetz also ruled that a July 31 hearing will be used to review evidential matters related to the Britney Spears case, Reuters reported. Specifics were not immediately made available by the courts.
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Britney is currently under a co-conservatorship overseen by her father Jamie and attorney Adam Wallett.
The home Jamie has permission to sell served as the location Britney was twice picked up at earlier this year by authorities. She was taken both times to hospitals, where she was admitted under involuntary psychiatric holds.
In recent months, Britney has seemingly turned her life around, gaining more custody of her children with Kevin Federline and taking on a cameo role in the CBS comedy, “How I Met Your Mother.”

Kate Hudson & Lance Armstrong-
were spotted in Austin on both Friday and Saturday nights. First, the pair dined at Eddie V’s, a high-end restaurant frequented by Armstrong, according to a restaurant insider.
“They came in [Friday] and had dinner together, it’s true,” the insider tells PEOPLE.
The next night, Hudson, 29, and Armstrong, 36, ate at the casual Hula Hut with the athlete’s three children and a group of friends. “They came in with the kids and a large group of people,” says another restaurant source. “They ordered dinner – tacos, burgers and fries and that sort of stuff.”
Asked if the pair looked romantic, the source merely said, “They looked like they were having fun.”

Jamie Lynn Spears ‘Very Happy’ At Baby Shower
The Spears girls don’t exactly do “normal,” but the May 3 baby shower for Jamie Lynn Spears in Kentwood, Louisiana was down-home and drama-free.
“Jamie Lynn was very happy,” a Spears source told Us Weekly in its latest issue, on newsstands now. “She had a great time.”
Several dozen family members and friends - including Britney, 26, who hadn’t visited home in more than a year (and was granted expanded visitation of her two sons Tuesday)- got to the family’s Serenity mansion at 4 p.m. and were greeted with blue, pink and brown balloons, as well as flowers on the tables.
(No cameras or cellphones were allowed, and source told Us that matriarch Lynne personally kicked out some crashers.)
Jamie Lynn, who’s due in June, shared lunch with the group and opened her presents, many of which were purchased from Connie’s Jewelry & Gifts, a local store and favorite Jamie Lynn shopping stop.
“She got several nice things,” says a source. (Another insider told Us that a family pal drove Britney, Lynne, and dad Jamie to the airport on May 4 for a return trip to L.A.)
Next up for the 17-year-old mom-to-be? A shower hosted by the aunts of fiance Casey Aldridge.
“It’s going to be for his side of the family,” a source told Us. As for a possible shotgun wedding for the couple, a different source said, “I haven’t heard anything about it. They’re just focusing on having a healthy baby.”

With Help From Britney, Jamie Lynn Celebrates At Baby Shower
It was a family affair Saturday as mom-to-be Jamie Lynn Spears was feted with an intimate baby shower in Kentwood, La.
About 30 guests were invited – including big sis Britney – to Kentwood for a ladies-only, catered celebration for the 17-year-old at the family’s Serenity mansion. (Spears hadn’t been back to her hometown since her aunt’s funeral early last year.)
“Jamie Lynn opened every gift,” says a source, adding that mom Lynne and fiancé Casey Aldridge’s mother lent a hand. “We all sat in a circle and she opened gifts and thanked every person. It was just a good old fashioned baby shower.”
In March, the Zoey 101 star registered for baby booty at Babies “R” Us.
Though sheriff’s deputies were posted at the gate and paparazzi circled in helicopters, “it was a normal shower,” says the source. “A wonderful, sweet occasion.”

Britney Spears Returns Home To Kentwood
Britney Spears is home again: The pop star left California on Friday and returned to her hometown of Kentwood, La. – her first trip back since before her hospitalization and custody battles of the past year, a source tells PEOPLE.
Also in town is Spears’s father, Jamie, who remains in legal control of her affairs until a July 31 hearing.
The singer’s arrival in her home state comes as sources say there is a planned baby shower over the weekend for her 17-year-old sister Jamie Lynn, who announced her pregnancy in December.
Spears, 26, last visited Kentwood in early 2007 for her aunt’s funeral.

Spears Reprises Guest Role On CBS’ ‘Mother’
Britney Spears, who proved she’s worth a cool million viewers to “How I Met Your Mother,” is paying another visit to the CBS sitcom. Spears will reprise her role as bubbly secretary Abby in the May 12 episode, CBS said Monday.”We’re all so thrilled to have Britney joining us once again,” series executive producer and co-creator Craig Thomas said in a statement.
“And just to head it off at the pass this time around: Yes, Mom, Britney’s very nice and no, I can’t get her autograph for you,” Thomas added, jokingly.
Spears’ appearance in the March 24 episode won her good reviews and boosted the show’s viewership to 10.6 million viewers, in comparison to the 9.6 million who had tuned in the previous week.
When last seen, Abby was flirting with womanizer Barney (cast member Neil Patrick Harris). The new episode, which began production Monday, has Abby and Barney sharing their mutual dislike of Ted (cast member Josh Radnor) and acting on it.
“Desperate to get a rise out of his former pal, Barney pops a surprising question to Abby,” CBS said in a release.
“How I Met Your Mother” stars Harris, Radnor, Cobie Smulders, Alyson Hannigan and Jason Segel (”Forgetting Sarah Marshall”) as an urban family of 20-something New Yorkers.
The pop star’s camp originally approached the show about taking part, executive producer Carter Bays told The Associated Press earlier this month.

Britney Acting Up Again
Conservatorship wonder Britney Spears is returning to the stage — the “How I Met Your Mother” sound stage.
Brit is reprising her role of Abby on the CBS sitcom and sources tell us she’ll hopefully keep it together long enough to start shooting her scenes later this week. Spears’ previous stint on “HIMYM” garnered the show its highest ratings and earned her good reviews.
Unfortunately, must see TV doesn’t get much better than being hauled off on a gurney.

Her daily trips to the Culver City gym have become a paparazzi mecca, so she hightailed it out of there for a more private session at the Ritz-Carlton in Marina del Rey. Maybe now she’ll do her Jane Fondas in some sort of peace.

Britney Spears Not Signed On For More HIMYM
In the wake of online reports saying Britney Spears will be doing another episode of How I Met Your Mother, a source close to the pop star tell Us “Nothing is signed yet.”
The source adds: “No script has been written and until that is done, Britney will not be making a commitment. The offer is there but no decisions have been made at the moment.”
Spears, 26, appeared on the March 24 episode of the CBS comedy. She played Abby, a receptionist at a dermatologist’s office who falls for architect Ted
(Josh Radnor) when he comes in to have a tattoo removed. (It was Spears’ first return to the small screen since a 2006 cameo on Will & Grace.)
CBS had no comment about her returning to the series.

Britney Returning To “How I Met Your Mother”
Britney Spears is returning to How I Met Your Mother, a source tells PEOPLE.
“The show is ecstatic and so is Britney,” a source said. “She had so much fun the first time around she really wanted to come back. It was a mutual decision to work together more.”
The singer/actress will do one episode, the source says. Fox studios would not confirm the appearance.
Spears, 26, appeared on the March 24 episode, playing a receptionist at a dermatologist’s office who fell for one of the show’s main characters, played by Josh Radnor. She received wide accolades for the spot.
“She was hilarious in the table-read, and I got to see her do the run-through as well, and she was great,” cast member Jason Segel said. –Jennifer Garcia, Nicole Weisensee Egan and Lisa Ingrassia
