“Grey’s” Star Checked In To UCLA Psych Ward
TMZ has learned actor Justin Chambers, Dr. Alex Karev on “Grey’s Anatomy,” - a show I particularly don’t like - checked himself in to the psych ward at UCLA Medical Center this week.
His rep confirmed that he checked in on Monday and checked out yesterday.
The rep claims Justin, a married father of five, was “exhausted and suffers from a sleeping disorder. He went in voluntarily to get some help.”
I didn’t realize that required Professional help? Oh well, but I guess if you’re receiving treatment at the same place as Britney Spears, that’s a red flag right there. Imagine that..

Lutfi Lashes Out At Lynne: ‘She’s Only Concerned With Herself’
Sam Lutfi, Britney Spears’ close friend and self-proclaimed “manager,” is lashing out this morning at Lynne Spears while speaking exclusively to Access Hollywood.When Sam was asked how he and Lynne Spears were getting along following Britney’s second hospitalization, he sounded off, saying he does not think Lynne cares about Britney.
“No. Her mother is not someone who cares about her daughter, she’s only concerned with herself. Sad but true. She was too busy getting a manicure to come over yesterday, despite her daughters (sic) pleas. Sad, very sad,” Sam wrote to Access in a text message.
Lutfi was present outside of Britney’s Studio City home when she was taken away for hospitalization Thursday morning. He was also seen trying to gain admission to UCLA Medical Center, although Lynne reportedly denied him visitation rights.
Two night’s ago, Spears had a verbal altercation with Lutfi - lashing out at him in full view of the cameras.
“Will you please get out?” Spears said. “I don’t care about them right now. I want to drive my ****ing car!”
Spears offered the expletive-filled rant in her British accent as she sat in the passenger seat. Lutfi agreed to Spears’ demands and let her take the wheel.

Britney’s Hospitalization Won’t Help Get Her Kids Back
Early Thursday morning, Britney Spears made her second trip to the hospital in a month, and now she is on a “mental health evaluation hold” at UCLA Medical Center. Brit’s first visit came on Jan. 4 following a four-hour standoff with authorities after the singer refused to hand one-year-old Jayden over to her ex-husband Kevin Federline. The next morning, the court stripped Britney of all her visitation rights and has only recently gotten back her privilege to speak to her sons, Jayden James and Sean Preston, over the phone.As Britney had been expected in court next week to ask the judge for “monitored, therapeutic visitations” with her sons, OK! spoke with Judge Lynn Toler, of 20th Television’s Divorce Court, to determine how this latest news might impact her fight for custody over her boys.
“Whether or not she was voluntarily committed makes a difference,” explains the judge. “If she went in on her own, it would emphasize that she is actively seeking assistance. If she’s on an involuntary hold, it’s pretty clear she has an inability to care for herself. And as such she should not have custody or visitation without supervision.”
The judge also thinks those who criticize K-Fed as being too harsh aren’t seeing the whole picture. “Any parent would do the same thing. If their spouse or former spouse is behaving in a way that they can’t take care of themselves, any parent would say they wouldn’t want their children around that. But that doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t have access to her children.” However, allows Judge Toler, “things may change over the year.”
So how should Britney’s lawyers proceed given these latest developments? “If I was them, I’d probably move for a continuance” explains the judge. “When everything is in flux and up in the air, you want to make an assessment of the psychological assessment. There’s no particular urgency in having that hearing next week - the kids are safe with their dad - so time may be the best thing.”

Miley Cyrus On Nick Jonas: ‘We’re Really Good Buds’
Contrary to popular belief, Miley Cyrus says her relationship with Nick Jonas is strictly friends. Although, we all know she wants to be more than that, but sometimes the expressions on Nick’s face when they are together looks like he could care less either way.
Her father, like most fathers, has been slightly more forthcoming. When PEOPLE first reported on them potentially being an item in July, he explained: “What kids do these days is that they have group dates. She really hasn’t had a date date.”
She also cared to blab about how fame affects her social life. Judging by her recent photographs, I’d say she has everything to worry about.
Regardless, when one reader asked, “Do you ever worry that your friends like you only because you’re famous? Kind of like the reason Miley Stewart hides that she’s really Hannah Montana?” she admitted, “It’s definitely easier to make friends now.”
“I’ve had all my same friends from the beginning, so I know who was there before and who was there after,” she added. “You can tell who real people are.”
Miley has such a way with words, especially with responding to questions the EXACT SAME WAY with every interview. Bravo.

Paris Hilton And Elisha Cuthbert Party Hard!
Well these apparent new chums, don’t look so chummy judging by this photograph - a bit worn out from the partying perhaps? Well..
The “House of Wax” co-stars Paris Hilton and Elisha Cuthbert were spotted last night, getting quite up-close and personal with each other. The two were reportedly “all over each other and making out,” according to a witness at New York’s Tenjune club. Hm, maybe if that was added to House of Wax script the movie wouldn’t have been such a big blow to the box office.
Us Weekly is also reporting that the two showed up separately, with Paris originally arriving for a birthday party. So per usual, the heiress ended up dancing on the bar and that’s when the fun really started.
You can always count of Paris to get the ball rollin’.

Pap Popped At Pitt’s Place
A man who identified himself as a “freelance reporter” was busted on charges of misdemeanor trespassing at Brad Pitt’s Hollywood pad.
A housekeeper witnessed the dude blocking the driveway with his car, asking, “Where’s Brad Pitt’s house?”
Eric Mitchell, 25, was arrested after the housekeeper called police. Brad, Angelina and their 75 kids were not home at the time.

Britney Being Treated For Her Disease
If you think Britney Spears doesn’t give a crap about getting help for her condition, think again.

Multiple sources tell TMZ Britney has seen numerous doctors. We know that she’s seen a new psychiatrist who has come to her home every day this week and that she’s on medication to treat her bipolar disease. We also know doctors have indeed concluded she suffers from bipolarity.
Britney has seen doctors who have been referred by other doctors, plus doctors who have been referred by celebrities Britney knows, and doctors referred by her lawyers, family and friends. We’re told the process has been excruciating for her, partly because her disease is severe.
Sources tell slightly different stories about the efficacy of the medication. A friend says when Britney takes her medicine she is like “a different person — normal and sweet.” But she takes her meds for a while and then feels as if she can live without it — so she stops taking them — and her condition quickly deteriorates. But a professional tells TMZ flatly, “The medication just isn’t working.”
That same professional tells TMZ, “She’s really trying. Whether it works — we’ll have to see.” That person also says it’s extremely frustrating when the media shows video of Britney out on the town acting crazy, adding, “She has a disease. Sometimes when you see her she’s in the middle of an episode. It’s like mocking someone with Down syndrome.”

Blunt To Retire In Ireland
British singer James Blunt has said he wants to retire to Ireland because Irish people have music in their blood.
The star has finished a month-long UK tour in Dublin before he begins a string of gigs in the US.
Speaking after performing at the city’s RDS venue, Blunt said: “Irish people have music in their blood. The audiences want to be part of it.”
When asked on Dublin FM104 station if that he would consider retiring to Ireland, he replied: “Absolutely!”
Blunt, 33, also revealed that his first-ever proper tour was around Ireland about five years ago with a keyboard player.
“The reason we did it was because Ireland is a place that enjoys music. It was a very exciting time for me,” he said.
Blunt became the first British artist to top the American singles chart in nearly a decade when his hit You’re Beautiful reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2006.
The last British artist to do so was Elton John in 1997 with Candle In The Wind 1997.
Blunt has won two BRIT Awards and was nominated for five Grammy Awards in 2006.
He kicks off the US leg of his Lost Souls Tour in Seattle on Monday.

Police Head To Britney Spears’ Neighborhood After Report That Paparazzi Are Trespassing
Police were called to Britney Spears’ neighborhood after someone reported that a swarm of paparazzi were trespassing in her gated community.
Los Angeles police Officer Mike Lopez said officers received a call around 7 p.m. Monday about a group of photographers “stepping onto the grounds” of the private neighborhood while following the 26-year-old pop singer.
When officers arrived, they didn’t see anyone trespassing, Lopez said. He said citations were issued for several illegally parked cars.
Lopez said he didn’t know how many photographers were following Spears.
Spears has spiraled downward since filing for divorce from Kevin Federline in November 2006. Her bizarre public antics include shaving her head bald, attacking a car with an umbrella and bringing along a paparazzo pal ontrips to a courthouse in her custody case with Federline.
She was taken to a Los Angeles hospital by paramedics earlier this month after police were called to her home because of a dispute involving her sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1. She has lost custody and visitation rights with the boys.

David Beckham Gets Shirtless While Promoting Soccer Center
An enthusiastic (and shirtless) David Beckham was captured frolicking on a Brazilian beach earlier today.
The soccer stud was grinning ear to ear as he showed off his fancy footwork at sunset.
Becks has been in Brazil since the weekend, unveiling plans for a new soccer center: The David Beckham World of Sport.
“I am honored to be associated with this incredible project, which will build world class sporting facilities in Brazil, hopefully having a major impact at a local level and internationally,” Beckham said.
The center will feature eight soccer fields and facilities for top athletes and it will also have a scholarship program for Brazilian kids.
“I am incredibly proud of the work my Academies do both in London and Los Angeles and I am happy Brazilian children will benefit from access to the top class facilities and coaching at this resort,” Becks said.

Angelina Jolie Is Pregnant
Amid rumors that Angelina Jolie, 32, is expecting twins, a close source confirms to Us Weekly that the actress is indeed pregnant. A radiant Jolie had tongues wagging at the Screen Actors Guild Awards January 27 in Los Angeles.
One SAG attendee tells Us in its latest issue, on newsstands now, “It was so obvious she was pregnant. You could clearly see the bump’s outline.”
The source reveals Jolie may sell the confirmation, with the money going to charity.
Reps for Jolie and Brad Pitt, 44, refused to comment.
The couple have four children: Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, Zahara, 3, and Shiloh, 19 months, whom Jolie gave birth to in May 2006.
Jolie and Pitt - Us’ Couple of the Year - have been vocal about wanting more children.
Pitt said last month, “we’re just getting started.”
“Dedicated, kids first,” Pitt has said of Jolie as a mother. “[She’s] really inventive and great fun to them and very, very protective.”
Last summer, when Jolie was asked how many kids she’d like to have, the actress responded, “Hmm, it fluctuates between seven and 13 or 14… Four is kind of kicking our ass, but we kind of feel like, damn it, we’re up for the challenge!”
“I think we’ll crap out somewhere between 7 and 9,” Pitt has said.
Jolie’s estranged father, Jon Voight, recently said, “It’s wonderful news… if that’s true.”
Pitt and Jolie have been together since early 2005.

Jake Is Taking Heath’s Death ‘Harder Than Most’
Heath Ledger’s sudden death has been especially tough on his good friend - and Brokeback Mountain costar - Jake Gyllenhaal.The actor, who is godfather to Ledger’s two-year-old daughter Matilda, has been devastated by last week’s news. Says one Gyllenhaal friend, “Jake is taking this harder than most people.”
Nowhere is that more apparent than on the New Mexico set of Gyllenhaal’s latest movie, Brothers.
“This has had a strong personal effect on [Jake],” says a set source. The insider adds that Gyllenhaal left the set immediately after learning of Ledger’s Jan. 22 death - but he flew back on a commercial flight to shoot an additional scene on Thursday.
“He was there, but he wasn’t with us. It was obviously a major trauma,” says the movie source. “These guys were very close. [Jake] was sitting in the director’s chair staring off into space.”
Gyllenhaal has been off since shooting that scene, and was photographed Saturday looking subdued with girlfriend Reese Witherspoon in Los Angeles. Set sources say director Jim Sheridan is shooting around the grieving actor during his personal leave.
The 27-year-old’s somber mood is a sharp contrast to the happier times on the set of Brothers. During one intense early prison scene, Gyllenhaal jokingly reached into his pocket and took out a picture of his Brokeback beau to stick on the prison wall. “Like those prisoners put [loved ones] on the wall, but Jake’s was Heath Ledger,” one set source recalls. “That was hilarious. It was a nice moment.”
The source adds, “When you think back on it now, it’s touching.”

Tom Cruise “spoke briefly” to a man claiming to be the father of Heath Ledger, a source close to Cruise tells Usmagazine.com.A source close to Cruise tells Us the two spoke by phone once and the actor realized it was a hoax. “They spoke briefly but he realized the caller was an impostor almost immediately and he hung up,” the source says.
The impostor also arranged for hotel rooms at New York’s Carlyle Hotel before Ledger’s reps and police were notified.
